Sneak peak at my WIP sewn and crochet dress for Easter

This has 4 equal panels and 1 slight larger one ( if the front of the skirt panel is larger you wont have a funky seam) This will be the skirt part next will be a crochet middle and last an all black top..  I had this crazy idea crochet and sewing should go together in a dress! Lucky for me My good friend Gretchen makes her own clothes, they look cute and NOT handmade and she graciously said she would help me with the sewing portion. *happy dance* Since we are all different sizes I wont tell you the measurements just how we did it. We measured my waist ( don't freak! and don't do it tightly you want the clothes to fit and no one will know what size you made :)  and because I wanted a circle skirt we made the bottom longer... this was done by having the bottom 2 yards and the top only 1 inch bigger than my waist.  we made 4 equal panels and 1 slightly bigger one for the front. The top was made so the back was open for a zipper.. The zipper will be added after
